CABACARIBE
Margarita Island Horse Tours
The Highlight of Your Vacation
...We Promise...
The Company:
CabaCaribe is a private horseback riding adventure company that specializes in small custom tours of the beaches and mountains of Isla Margarita. Our horse rides are tailored to your level of skill and group size. Groups are limited to 5 people with at least two guides per group, so these aren't normal trail rides. It is just you and your guides enjoying the fantastic beauty of the island. You tell us what you want to see, when you want to stop, whatever you want. We know that when you finish your tour you are going to be thrilled with CabaCaribe . Because we are a "private only" tour company you will not be paired with another group unless requested.
We have 12 horses at the ranch, 6 American Quarter Horses and 6 Criollos. The horses are all well fed, conditioned and cared for. Because our horses are in such fine shape, this won't be a typical trail ride with horses walking nose to tail. You will be able to canter and trot to your heart's content in the most amazing scenery imaginable. The horses are our partners in this business and we treat them that way. We have pictures posted here of them.
CabaCaribe is located only a couple of minutes from Playa El Agua. We chose this location because it is the main tourist center on the island. There are a couple of other ranches here but they are over an hour away and there is too much to do on the island to spend a couple of hours just getting to where the fun begins.
The People:
We are a couple of cowboys that were looking for a new home and a place to change our hobby, horse riding, into our life. We spent a couple of years searching the Caribbean for the perfect place and we finally found Isla Margarita.
Our barn manager grew up on a ranch on the mainland of Venezuela. He knows more about horses that our horses know about each other. It is amazing. He understands what the horses are thinking and what they are feeling at any given time. We are sure that he must have horse blood running through his veins.
Isla Margarita:
The island is absolutely beautiful. There are mountains that are virtually undiscovered and there are dozens of beaches that offer almost any water activity that you can imagine. The natives on the island are the friendliest you will find anywhere and the weather is always wonderful. We have found a tropical paradise and we will share it with you in a way that you will remember for a lifetime.
We have started a blog to let all our past guests know what is going on with us and their favorite horses. It is www.cabacaribe.blogspot.com We would love to keep in touch with all of you personally but it really became too much to answer all of the emails. You can subscribe through RSS to our blog and everytime we make a new entry or post a new picture you will be notified.
We are posting pictures on the web at http://picasaweb.google.com/CabaCaribe We are able to get them up much more quickly on Google than on this site. You can also subscribe through RSS to the photos so when we post new ones you can share them.
